Brow Lift Surgery
A brow lift minimizes lines, wrinkles, deep creases and folds that have accumulated along the forehead, by reducing the underlying muscles and tissues and raising the skin of the brow.
A brow lift is also known as a forehead lift.
What a Brow Lift Can Achieve
In most cases frown lines, wrinkles, deep creases, folds and saggy skin are caused by the ageing process.
Cosmetic Surgery
A brow lift is a cosmetic surgery procedure that reduces and eliminates saggy skin, folds and deep creases; it also raises the eyebrows and gives the eyes a fresher and younger appearance.
Eye Lift
If you are experiencing excess saggy skin on the eyelids you may need to consider eye lift surgery. This procedure may be combined with a brow lift or performed on its own.
Brow Lift Results
A brow lift eliminates and reduces creases, folds and saggy skin that has developed along the forehead, the brow lift will produce a much younger, fresher and firmer appearance.
Expecting too much From a Brow Lift
A brow lift is designed to reduce wrinkles, deep lines, creases and folds, along the forehead. Unfortunately a brow lift will not remove any fine lines, scaring, age spotting, acne, or pigmentation problems.
Considering Cosmetic Surgery
When considering any cosmetic surgery procedures, you will need to research for a highly recommended and qualified surgeon, one that has years of experience, and works in a good surgical clinic.
Choosing the Best Surgeon.
Some surgeons prefer to use a general anaesthetic while others use a light sedation. You may be treated as an outpatient or require a stay in the hospital or clinic. Each individual is treated separately and depending on the extent of the damage that needs repairing will depend on the type of anaesthetic the surgeon will use.
Endoscope Brow Lift
Some surgeons will perform an endoscope (surgical video device) which is an instrument that is entered through a small incision along the forehead, allowing the surgeon to reduce any underlying unwanted tissues and muscles underneath the skin, and also allowing the surgeon to reposition, alter, or remove the damaged area.
The endoscope may be performed using a technique involving a small incision made in the natural folds of the skin reducing any visible signs of scaring. These incisions may be made along the upper eyelids to help eliminate frown lines between the brow and the bridge of the nose.
Coronal Brow Lift
The coronal brow lift consists of an ear to ear incision along the hair line; if the hairline has receded then the incision will be made along the natural crease of the forehead. After the incision the brow will be lifted and any unwanted saggy skin and tissues will be removed and corrected, the skin is then pulled upwards and the incision is the sewed or clipped back together, administering, removal or dissolving sutures, clips, surgical tape, skin adhesives, screws, permanent sutures.
