Bunion- Medical Term
The Medical term for bunion is Hallux Valgus or Hallux Abducto Valgus. One of the most commonly used terms is Hallux, this term refers to the Big Toe.

What is a Bunion? And what are the Symptoms?
One of the most common symptoms is an irritation around the skin of a bunion, also redness, aching, and pain especially when walking. In lots of cases the big toe shifts towards the other toes almost in a bent position. Blisters are more likely to be formed around the bunion when walking with ill fitting shoes.
Bunion Causes
Biomechanical abnormality is where ligaments also tendons are no longer functioning correctly.
There are many related biomechanical abnormalities, such as flat feet, lack of ligament flexibility, and abnormal structure to the bone.
Bunions on Feet
Bunions are considered genetic. One of the other considerations is ill fitting shoes, which causes the bunions formation.
Bunion Treatment
Bunions can be treated by changing footwear, wearing accommodating shielding or padding, a bunion splint, plenty of rest, using ice to reduce the swelling, and medication.
