Using the body’s own fat cells to fill facial or body lines, wrinkles, sunken eyes, hollow cheeks, dimpling in the skin, have been performed for over hundred years.

Fat Injection Technique
Fat injections have developed over the years and fat injections may be used all over the body, to plump up buttocks, hands, breast and even a male’s penis.

Fat Injections Traditional Procedure
Using the body’s own fat is considered a traditional procedure for surgically repairing or plumping out localised areas of the face and body.

The beauty of fat injections is the augment for the desired body part using your own fat cells.

Are Fat Injections Safe
Because the body’s own fat cells are transported, it makes the procedure unquestionably biocompatible and non allergenic.

Fat Injections (Natural)
It is also been recorded that fat transfers feel more natural than implants.
.
Fat injections are a procedure aimed at improving the facial and body’s appearance.

Fat Injections Transportation
The transportation of fat from one part of the body to the other by fat injections should be performed by a qualified and an experienced cosmetic surgery surgeon.

Some patients may require more than one treatment to improve the damaged area.

Fat injections dying fat cells
Some fat cells that are transported by fat injections may die; usually around forty per cent survive.

Every time the treatment is repeated, the more fat will accumulate in the damaged area.

Fat Injections Longer Lasting
Fat injections offer longer lasting results, and in some patients they may last a lifetime.

Liposuction
Treatment on larger areas consist of liposuction, this procedure sucks out the fat cells in other areas of the body,  this fat is then used by injections and placed in the area that requires filling.

The technique of fat injections uses the body’s own natural fat cells to improve appearance.

Infection or Rejection
The chances of infection or rejection when using fat injections are minimal, fat injections are safe and reliable.

Fat injections are normally performed as an outpatient’s basis, and are performed under twilight sedation.

Twilight sedation is a combination of medicines that makes the patient feel sleepy, while numbing the area needed for treatment, but the patient will be awake.

Some patients will require a general anaesthesia, but your surgeon will decide the best treatment for your needs.

Fat Injections the Procedure
Antiseptic will be applied to the area that is being treated, and the area that the fat is being removed.

Fat cells are usually removed from the buttocks, stomach, or thighs, by liposuction.

Liposuction is a procedure that aspirates the fat cells underneath the skin surface, and then vacuums them out.

After the fat cells have been removed the surgeon will then process the cells by purifying them.
.

When the cells are ready they will be injected in the required area.

After the fat injections have been received, it takes up to four days for the capillaries to reach the transplanted area.

Through the four days unfortunately fifty per cent of the transported fat cells will die.

Most surgeons will over fill the damaged area, to allow for dissipation of the fat cells.

Many of the fat injections transfers will be absorbed in the body.

After Treatment
After treatment of fat injections you will need assistance to drive you home, and to help for the first few days, but this will depend on the extend of the area of damage.

Choosing the Best Surgeon
Choosing the best surgeon is very important when considering any cosmetic surgery procedure.

Your surgeon should have the qualifications, training, and expertise needed for the required procedure.

His/her should show you before and after photos of patients that have received the same procedure.

The surgeon should explained in detail so that you fully understand the procedure, the technique, all after care, any complication or risks that may acure, and the full cost.

Lists of instructions should also be given to you before leaving the consultation.

During your consultation a complete medical evaluation should be taken.

In some cases antibiotics may be prescribed before and after surgery.

Facial and body fat injections should be performed by a board certified plastic surgeon.
