Liposuction Of The Knees

The presents of fatty deposits around the knees, is very common, unfortunately the accumulation of fat  distorts the knee shape.

Problems
Because of the accumulation of fatty deposits around the knees, it causes many problems, especially in the summer when short skirts, swimsuits, or shorts are worn.

Treatment
A combination of  Liposuction on the knees and Liposculpture is the best treatment for getting great results.

Liposculpture - Knee Shaping Liposuction.
Liposculpture is preformed the same time as liposuction; it is a treatment that treats the laxness of the skin, it is important to use this technique to achieve a tightening of any hanging skin.

Ultra Sound
One of the most important stages is to include ultrasound when liposculpture  is being preformed this is important when knee shaping with liposuction.

Anaesthetic
When under going surgery for liposuction of the knees a local anesthetic is required.

Operation
Liposuction is preformed by a very small incision, made in the fatty area, then aspirating the fat through the incision using a canular.

Removing Tissues
Liposuction is about removing the  fatty tissues and fat cells. When these fat cells are removed, they can not return, as all the fat cells are taken away so they cannot reproduce themselves.

Operation Time
Liposuction on the knees, depending on the area should take around one hour.

Scarring
There is virtually no scarring as  the incision  is so small less than 1cm long, and scarring is practically invisible.

Out Patient
With liposuction because the procedure is performed under a local anesthetic, you would be treated as an out patient and allowed home after the procedure.

Recovery
With liposuction of the knees you may on the first day loose fluid through the incisions, this fluid could be red in colour, this is normal and no cause for alarm.

Swelling and Bruising
Normally with liposuctin of the knees there will be some swelling and  bruising.

Quick Recovery
Liposuction of the knees has a quick recovery rate.

Compression Bandage
After liposuction on the knees, you will be required to wear a compression bandage, this bandage helps with the swelling and keeps bruising to a minimum.

Shape
The compression bandage is usually worn for at least the first month; it is important that the bandage is worn as it helps with the recovery and helps maintain the shape.

Pain
Liposuction of the knee like most liposuction procedure is pain free.

Stitches
The stitches will be taken out after 5 to 6 days after the surgery, only 3 to 4 stitches will be removed, as this amount is all that will be needed in the procedure.

After Surgery
After any procedure it is important to attend all appointment made by your surgeon.
