Neck Lift Recovery
The liposuction of the neck has a quick recovery rate. On the first day you can lose liquid through the incision as with all liposuction procedures. This liquid could be a little red but this is totally normal and if you have no loss it is not a cause for concern. You are also required to wear a compression bandage around the chin for approximately one week, but only indoors, which helps to reduce swelling and bruising and helps the skin to maintain its new shape.

Is it Necessary to have a Check-Up After Neck Lift Surgery?
Yes you need to have a check-up afterwards.

Will you Take out the Stitches?
Yes we take out 1 or 2 stitches. When can I wash after the operation? Normally you are able to wash on the day following surgery.

When Can I Return to Normal Activities?
You can return to a normal life approximately 24 to 48 hours after neck lift surgery.

When Will I Be Able to Resume Physical Exercise?
You can start progressive exercise after one month.

When Can I Return to Sunbathing or To Use Sun-Beds?
During the first month you are not able to be in the sun. Later during the following months you must use sun-blockers, not to be out for long and not to bathe in the hottest hours.

When performed by a specialist and with the right surgical conditions there is practically no risk.

How Long Will It Be Before I Can See the Results?
During the first 15days the area of liposuction will be swollen and larger and you may look like you did before the operation. The swelling will gradually disappear and it is important to wear a compression bandage.

Neck Lift -Things to Remmeber

Tell the doctor if at any time before your surgery you feel unwell or have an infection such as a cold.
Suspend the taking of all medication especially aspirin and any other blood thinning drugs and use only those which are permitted by the doctor.
If you have been prescribed medication by the surgeon ensue that you take it as directed.
Arrange all your activities with family, friends and work so that they do not interfere with your recovery for approximately 2 days.

What is the Recovery Period After a Neck Lift?

Try to ensue that you have a quiet life for 48 hours after the surgery.
