Local Anaesthetic
Any operation that involves local anaesthetic is usually good, with minimal discomfort and a low risk factor and hardly any complications

General Anaesthetic
Procedures that require a general anaesthetic usually have to stay in the hospital or surgical clinic up to four days, the results are good, minimal discomfort,  and usually no complications

Example Under local anaesthetic
An eye lift know as (Blepheroplasty), pinning back the ears (Otoplasty),

Examples under General Anaesthetic
Nose re-shaping (Rhinoplasty), face lift (Rhytidectomy)

Operations that are preformed under a General Anaesthetic with a stay of a week or more, usually carries a period of discomfort, a possible restriction of mobility, visible scarring, and a higher risk of infection or complications

A Procedure
Breast surgery, Abdominal Lipectory which involves the removal of flat folds of the skin

Cosmetic Surgery
Considering Cosmetic surgery, before you seek advice of a surgeon, ask your self why you need cosmetic surgery, ask your self some serious questions

Appearance
Take a good look at your self, answer a question honestly why you need the surgery, what changes will the surgery help to improve, and a reason why you want the surgery

Body Shape
Cosmetic surgery can change your facial appearance and body shape, but it can not change your attitude or alter the way you fundamentally feel about your self

Facial Features
Cosmetic surgery can change facial features, redefine a profile, lift sagging jowls, and re-shape breasts

Relationship
Cosmetic surgery can not change a relationship, repair a marriage, or secure a job or promotion

Honesty
Be honest with your self, examine all your motives, making sure the surgery is for you and not for some one else or because of a situation

Age
Ask your self do I really need this surgery, think about the age if you are forty nothing will make you look twenty again

Happy results
Cosmetic surgery gets the best results if the patient has a good outlook and a mix of realism and optimism

Cost
Ask you self can I really afford the operation, even a minor procedure can be very expensive

Simple
There are some types of surgery that sound deceptively simple, it is important to know that any surgery that involves an operation under anaesthetic holds some risks,  the need for stitches, possible scarring, a period of convalescence, a slight risk of post operative bleeding, infection, usually swelling and bruising,  take all these factors in to consideration

Consultant
If you have weighed up all the facts and still considering surgery, research all cosmetic surgeons, making sure that he/she has a good reputation, a good hospital or surgical clinic, look for plenty of before and after photos on clients that have already had procedures

Consultation
Have as many consultations with you surgeon as you feel you need to, do not be afraid to ask any questions, make sure you fully understand all the procedure and the after care

Important Information
A positive attitude, understanding the procedure, a good positive relationship with the surgeon, all these factors will help with good and longer lasting results and a quick recovery
